Initialize for measuring velocities.
This page shows a collection of particles of mass 1 with two larger particles of masses 40 and 10. The graph to the right shows the velocities of the red, green, and black particles. Due to the small number of particles in the simulation, there are significant fluctuations. You can instead choose to plot a smoothed running average by entering the number of times steps to smooth over and pressing the Smooth button.
Initialize for measuring momentum.
This version is similar, except the magnitude of the momenta of the particles are plotted.
Initialize for measuring kinetic energy.
This version is again similar, except the kinetic energies of the particles are plotted.
Entropy simulations.
The simulations are based on the "Physlets" developed by Wolfgang Christian at Davidson College and generously shared with other educational institutions.
